Dr. Harriet Babikako (PhD, MPH, MBChB) is a lecturer, at the Department of Child Health and Development center, College of Health Sciences, Makerere University. Dr. Babikako has a Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of surgery degree from Makerere University and a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a PhD in Health Services Research from Case Western Reserve University -USA. Dr. Babikako , a physician by background, is also a health services researcher and public health specialist. Dr. Babikako is a Principal Investigator (PI) of the PPAT project funded by The Global Research Initiative Program for New Foreign Investigators (GRIP) from the NIH, housed at Makerere University, College of Health Sciences, Principal's office.
Dr. Babikako's research interest is geared to patients' preferences and quality of care in Uganda with bias in HIV/TB programs and emphasis on women/adolescent disparities. Dr. Babikako is a clinician with experience in proposal and grant writing, project implementation, analysis and epidemiologic methods, cost effectiveness analysis and program evaluation.
