The core mandate of CHDC is to conduct teaching, supervision, and community engagement through research initiatives. The Centre actively teaches and supervises undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students under the College of Health Sciences, as well as students across the university.
CHDC’s PhD supervision is not limited to Makerere University; the Centre also collaborates with international institutions to supervise and mentor students from abroad.
Over the past ten years, CHDC has successfully supervised and supported the completion of more than 10 fully funded PhD candidates, reflecting its strong contribution to research capacity building and academic excellence.
